Born and raised in the city of Rotterdam ('Rufferdamn' in hip hop-lingo, 'cause of the roughness of it and the Dutch hip hop-capital according to many) this female MC started writing at a very young age. A then young Jav’lin would pick up a pen and scribble down rhymes for 'Sinterklaas' (a Dutch celebration where people hand out presents to each other, along with self-written poems). Although she doesn't know when exactly, she got caught up with the hip hop fever when she was 13-14 years old. It's also around that time that she started writing actual rhymes in English. In the years after that, she kept on building' on her rhyme skills and her delivery.

Being influenced by fellow female MC's like Eve ,Jean grae ,Foxy Brown ,Rah Digga and (off course) Queen Latifah, but also more thuggedout MC's like Tupac ,Mobb Deep ,Lost Boys, Immortal Technique ,Black Rob and Yukmouth. Being busy in the local scene of Rotterdam, she has developed quite her own style. With a straight up and no nonsense attitude, she combines heartfelt lyrics about the facts of life with a strong yet quite smooth flow, appealing to both hardcore hip hop-heads as other more mainstream listeners.

She has worked with respected underground artists like Unorthodox, Dwayne, Delano (Kshaw), big mic, Kain Slim, ShoGun, Blacksoul and DJ Fader and given guidance by Mc's like Riza (NL), Will Power (USA), Baba Israel (USA) RmagedDon (NL) and Deams (NL). The end of last year she did, besides releasing tracks on various mixtapes, a track on the REDRUM underground hits PT II called "up against the wall". Earlier this year she jammed live on air with Riza at 3FM. She has won a local rap contest and came in second at another one. This all makes her a talented MC with great potential for the near future.

She has done numerous performances all over the country.

Reaching for the stars, Jav’lin is trying to reach as much people as she possibly can.

The sky's the limit...

Words from Jav'lin

Of all the blessings I have ever received, I still wonder what made me worthy of a gift this big. I was blessed with a husband who has been able to make love to my mind time in time again. I started writing him and getting involved with his plight because of the injustice I felt was done to him and I dedicated my heart to this struggle. Somewhere along the road I discovered that I did not only dedicate my heart to the struggle but also to Kenneth himself, as a person. I could go on for pages- to try and tell you all the beautiful things I have found in him but to sum it all up- the most important thing that I found in him was home. A place full of love and warmth, and a place that never ceases to exist, even when times are trying.
A promise of life was made when vows were exchanged, and by God's grace- life is what we were given. I cherish each day, each minute, each moment. Kenneth knows my heart like no man does, and he reads me like a book he wrote himself. He is thoughtful, gentle and kind. Although we are far from perfect or flawless we are balanced out and I am content with where my heart is at all times, right now I am happy that we can actually start exploring life without having father time breathing down our necks. We survived Death Row and although this was only one step in the right direction- I'm glad we were able to get it this far. We won one battle in this war, and I'm ready to win more and win this war. Together with my beautiful husband.
